8:20 PM Brandon has been loving to help us around the house, and boy does he love tools! I didn't even show him what to do, but he grabbed the screwdriver and was putting it into the holes in the desk that I was building. He must have seen me do it. What a kid!   3 left a comment

8:08 PM We finally got a chance today to go check out the neighborhood pool and fitness center. There are actually two big pools that are similar in our neighborhood and two fitness centers. This is the main one and we can't wait to get in that pool!!!        5 left a comment
Brandon's Room
7:55 PM Here are some pictures from Brandon's room! It's so nice because at our old place, he had the big old guest bed in his room so there wasn't anywhere for his toys so he never played in his room. Now he has his books in there and some toys. He LOVES being in his room!     In this next pic you can see part of the changing table. The movers lost 5 of the important bars that keep the thing up. So...basically it's useless. The Boys Bathroom!
12:29 PM So, we finally got one room done completely! It's the boys bathroom. I love the way it turned out and Brandon loves going in there and pointing at the monkeys! trying to catch up!
4:08 PM Hey everyone! We are FINALLY sort of getting settled into our new house in FL. So far we love it here!! Our house is coming along great, only a few more boxes to unpack and a few more pictures to hang and we can start to feel like we are home. We have had computer problems starting with not having cable/internet hooked up the first week, and when we finally got that, we had problems with the computer...looks like it has a virus or something :( So, we found our old laptop and after searching for the power cord, we forgot that for whatever reason, the internet will not work on that. THEN we found another laptop that Juan had from a class he was taking and couldn't find the power cord for that. Well, i finally found it and we could finally get on the internet with a working computer. NEXT, I wanted to upload all of my pictures (TONS!!) and couldn't find the usb cord for that. well, i found that, and uploaded hundreds of pics to the desktop and just went to webshots to upload there and this computer does not have the flash program needed to upload more than 3 pictures at a time...sooooo here i am now two weeks later trying to figure out how in the world i'm going to show everyone pictures. so i will try to add some to my blog. starting WAY back when we were moving out from our old place. So, don't mind my "back-blogging" as i'll call it over the next few days i will try to go back and fill in some blanks from the last month or so. Keep checking back. saying goodbye is never easy...
12:15 PM Our last few days in San Diego, we spent saying goodbye to good friends...it's never easy, but we know we will stay in touch and remain friends forever. Here are a few pictures from our last visit with Tricia and Josh and their kids Matthew and Riley. Matthew and Riley and Brandon were always the three amigos!    I also had to say goodbye to my friend Shara and her daughter Olivia. Here is Olivia holding Colin!

12:06 PM Before we moved I wanted to get Brandon and Colin a little souvineer from San Diego, so I got them each a Chargers shirt. That doesn't mean the Chargers are #1, because we still have to root for the Bills and Steelers, but hey, we love the Chargers too! 4 month check-up
2:30 PM Colin had his 4 month well-baby check up on Thursday. He is doing great. Such a happy, healthy baby. He had 3 shots and one oral vaccination. He did much better this time around with the shots than last time, although I've never seen his face turn that color red before! Yikes!! Anyways, his stats: Weight: 14lbs 13oz Height: 24 1/8 inches (shortie!!) And for something cool...I just looked in Brandon's health records book and at his 4 month check up he was also exactly 14lbs 13oz. CRAZY!!! 3 left a comment Friday, September 5, 2008
MOMS
11:53 AM At our church in Santee, I joined a MOMS group (Ministry of Mothers Sharing) and it was so awesome. There were 13 moms and we met once a week to discuss different topics. And, wow, did I make some good friends. They are all unique and special and they all have left an impression on me. I was really sad to say goodbye to them & I hope we can keep in touch. Anyways, they took me out to dinner before we moved, and we had a wonderful time! I miss you ladies!!  2 left a comment Monday, September 1, 2008
Juan leaving for FL!

no new pictures...
7:45 AM for a little while. I have the camera, so we're taking lots of pictures like usual, but i don't have the cord to upload anything. So, you'll have to wait until we get settled in to FL for new pictures. Juan left Saturday morning for FL. He's driving the truck, pulling the Rav4! Saturday he made it to Las Cruces, NM, and Sunday he made it to Dallas, TX. Today he is supposed to make it to Meridian, MS to stay with Rachel, Allen and the kids for the rest of the day and the night. We are hoping he doesn't hit any bad weather today driving thru Louisiana, as the tropical storm Gustav is hitting land today in Southern Louisiana. Hopefully he will be far enough north to not be in any bad weather. We will see. Then, Tuesday he plans to leave MS and get to Jacksonville. YAY. We should close on our house Thursday. We are SO excited!! I'll try to keep posting updates, even though I don't have pictures. Be prepared for picture overload when I do finally get them up!! 3 left a comment |

And then there's Mary, one of my best friends ever, it was really hard to say goodbye to her. She is such a sweet, loving girl with a huge heart. I'll miss you girl!
