fireworks!
6:19 PM My last night in Meridian, we decided to do some fireworks and sparklers and I thought it would be fun to test out some of the setting on my camera. I just left the shutter open longer than normal and got these really awesome pics of us doing sparklers and a few of some cone firework thing...            2 left a comment
fun with the hose
6:12 PM It was SOOO hot while we were in Meridian, the kids spent a lot of time either at the pool, at this cool water park we went to or in the backyard playing in the sprinkler or with the hose. One afternoon we just let them run out there in their clothes and they loved it! Here are a LOT of pictures, but I couldn't help it, they were having so much fun and each picture has such great expressions.             0 left a comment
don't feed the ducks...
6:07 PM While in Meridian, we took the kids downtown to ride the famous carousel. We got the kids some popcorn for a snack and then came up with the brilliant idea to feed the ducks. Now we know not to do that again...the ducks flocked over to us SO fast...the kids were kind of screaming and scared...not to mention ME being afraid of birds that are that close to me! Next time we'll keep our popcorn to ourselves!       0 left a comment
The pool in Meridian
5:58 PM Brandon, Colin and I took a road trip to visit Rachel, Allen, Kylie and Kira for a week. Juan was in the Bahamas for work (poor guy...haha). We stopped in Pensacola for a night to visit our friends Jamie and Kevin and then continued to MS where we spent a week and then we drove the whole 8+ hours home yesterday. The kids did great in the car, thank goodness for the DVD player! We got to do lots of fun stuff in Meridian, the cousins had a BLAST together, they get along so well and pretty much laugh and play together from sun up to sun down. The weather was HOT HOT HOT, so we spent some time at the pool and it was SO nice to chill in the water all morning long. The kids are all fish!      1 left a comment Thursday, June 18, 2009
Two Things
11:20 AM A few days ago, Brandon looked me in the eyes and said "Mama" for the first time EVER. My heart just melted. It's what every mother can't wait to hear. FINALLY. It was such a sweet moment. Secondly, Brandon is getting glasses! He has astigmatism. The glasses should help him out a lot. We have them ordered and should get them in about two weeks! 1 left a comment Friday, June 12, 2009

playing with the camera features
10:39 AM I really have not had much time to read thru my user guide for our new camera, but the other day i read one section on how to change up the depth of field. so i tried to get a few shots of the boys using the feature. it was hard to get brandon, because he would not stand still once he saw the camera (he wanted me to take pictures of his trains instead of him). I need more practice, but here are a few pictures I thought turned out cool!      1 left a comment
